I feel like...I don't belong anymore. I'm not a kiss up, I've been too focused with my personal life to be of use to anyone really on here.

I see it in the Alliance/House a lot. It hurts me a bit.

That's not a view I have ever heard from anyone in Eternal or the Alliance (feeling you don't belong). Everyone has down times. Even in my role here I go through many spurts of feeling like my friends are very few and I don't have a lot of support. Then... I realize people just had their own things going on, might not have been privy to certain things, or something similar.

Even though it's neat to go in all the societies as a Regent- you really have no home. You aren't attached anywhere and you feel totally out of place. It's something anyone can feel no matter where they are, and it doesn't happen because people don't think you are one of them. I guarantee House Eternal feels you are a staple in their membership.

Definately don't take my silence as something against you, I've been too busy with personal and work happenings to have play time on VR. Similar to what Heidi said, I think this is just one of those times where we all have many things going on- and so the online socialization part of VR suffers.

It's not a bad thing, as with everything it will come full circle again and the good times will be had. My biggest gripe with online communities is how short lived people make them. Perhaps that is because of this aspect of instant communication. When we don't have time or ability to give that, we feel something is wrong- when really it is just part of life's ebs and flows.

Don't ever doubt your place in Eternal- because I assure you, it means a great deal. And please don't ever kiss up, as I'd have to then cyber kick yer arse ;)

It comes mainly from the fact I can't vent the way I want to right now. I have to censor myself because I do see kiss asses (or what I perceive as those) and it is one of my pet peeves.

I've found that my personal life is more important right now then anything online. Even though a chunk of my personal life is being affected by something online, that part is what I am focusing on. For once in my life I want to follow my dreams and my participation on here has suffered because of it.

I just feel like I'm an outsider looking in.

Psst. I still think being a Regent would be cool cause I like the ADD feeling it would give me. :D

Just for the record.

If you want something changed or to be dealt with, being a twatmuffin and raising a big deal doesn't get it fixed.

A few examples:

I was wrongly banned in game. When I sent my ticket into support I didn't cuss up a storm or insult them. I was polite and kind to them. Took about a week to get the whole thing taken care of. This doesn't bother me because it was the weekend and they don't work on the weekend.

Screaming at them to unban my account wouldn't have done anything.

My alt account was picked up by a coven I didn't want to be in. I sent a message to the CM and handled it. I didn't start drama in the forums and in my journal. I kept it private.

If I had made a big fuss they would have been less likely to trade me where I wanted to go.

Moral of the story is this: Don't act like a douchebag to people that can help you get what you want. If you want help from an admin, don't act like a twat towards them. They are volunteers, they don't get paid to deal with your bullshit.

And I bet if you apply this to real life you will get more things you want done. I had to apply this to my job today to take care of an issue.
